NA BŘEHU ŘEKY HEJNO BÍLÝCH HUS

Na břehu řeky hejno bílých hus
ve slunci června leží jako sníh.
V zelené trávě smaragdový trus
voní jak líh. A zdálky mává jih!

Ach, jih! Ty jižní věže vedra tam,
kde muezíni zpěvem zdraví den,
kde modré moře sní svůj věčný sen
a velbloudům za práci odplata

je jenom křik a tlustá hladká hůl.
Kde tymiánem voní bílá sůl,
tak bílá jako hejno bílých hus,

letících k jihu… smaragdový trus
nám padá z nebe, lásko, na náš stůl…
slyšíš ty husy?… to hýkání mul?…
